How do I import a PDF?
In the library, tap + › Import PDF or Image, or drag a PDF onto the library. From another app, use Share › Roundhand. Inside a notebook, tap the add-page button › Insert PDF to add pages to it.
My finger draws instead of scrolling.
Roundhand follows the Only Draw with Apple Pencil setting in iPadOS Settings › Apple Pencil. You can also change it in any notebook from the ••• menu. When finger drawing is on, scroll with two fingers.
How do I move or resize what I've written?
Pick the lasso, circle the ink, pictures or text, then drag to move. Drag a corner to resize or the top handle to rotate. Tap the selection for cut, copy, colour and Convert to Text.
How do I draw a perfect shape?
Draw a line, circle or box and keep the pen still for a moment at the end. It snaps into a clean shape. There's also a dedicated Shapes tool.
How do I undo?
Tap undo in the toolbar, double-tap with two fingers, or press ⌘Z on a keyboard. Double-tap with three fingers to redo.
How do I share or back up a notebook?
Open it and tap Share › Export Notebook as PDF. Your notebooks are also in the Files app under On My iPad › Roundhand, and are included in your iPad backups.
Does Roundhand sync with iCloud?
Not yet. Notebooks live on your iPad. Sync is on our list.
Is there a subscription?
No. Roundhand is free, with no subscription, no ads and no account.
